The Ford F-150, built with a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body and bolted to a fully-boxed steel frame, has smart innovations from the grille to the tailgate. See all the features and benefits of the F-150.
Military-grade, aluminum-alloy body —it’s the same 5,000/6,000-series high-strength grade used in the aerospace, commercial transportation and energy industries. Our objective: reduce weight while increasing strength. What’s more, aluminum-alloy is resistant to dents and corrosion.
The 2017 Raptor is meaner AND leaner. Powered by an all-new twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® engine with direct fuel injection. It’s paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission featuring a manual-shifting mode that delivers impressive power to all four wheels. The 2017 Raptor features high-strength, military-grade 6000-series aluminum alloy and also boasts a high-strength, boxed steel frame for maximum capability. Also on board: Raptor offers impressive running clearance, plus, an all-new four-wheel-drive, torque-on-demand transfer case and 3.0-inch FOX Racing Shox™* with custom internal bypass technology.
With its high-strength, military-grade, 6000-series aluminum-alloy body and unique 12-sided design in the high-strength steel front frame horn, the Ford F-150 is engineered to be safer than ever before. Crash testing is conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) covering frontal, side and rollover crash worthiness. The F-150 has achieved NHTSA’s overall rating of 5 Stars92 , the highest score possible.
The second-generation 3.5-litre EcoBoost® engine provides impressive performance, thanks to engineering innovations and 10-speed transmission pairing. This engine delivers best-in-class* 470 lb.-ft. of torque, 50 lb.-ft. more torque compared with its predecessor. The engine also provides better low-end and peak performance, ideal for hauling heavy payloads and towing trailers.
Also new: a Ford-first dual-direct and port fuel-injection system, plus redesigned turbochargers for more boost, and Auto Start/Stop Technology System now standard on the 3.5L EcoBoost® Engine.
The F-150 provides lots of places to store an assortment of things inside the cab. You’ll also find plenty of space to stow items in the door-trim panel bins and the under-seat storage area (in models with 40/20/40 front seating). There’s even space for a laptop inside the available flow-through centre console. F-150 also features a fully flat rear load floor with under-seat storage (SuperCab and SuperCrew®).
BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage10 is available on F-150. It includes the added assurance of blind spot coverage for the trailer you’re towing. BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) signals you in the outside mirror when it detects a vehicle traveling in a vehicle or trailer blind spot. It also includes the Cross-Traffic Alert feature that can detect a vehicle passing behind when you’re slowly backing out of a driveway or parking place.
