2020 Ford Explorer XLT Review

Hi everyone,

Today we are looking at the brand new, 2020 Ford Explorer XLT.

The completely redesigned 2020 Ford Explorer is Ford’s most advanced SUV ever, bringing a new level of technology, style and versatility to the Large Utility segment.

The XLT is the entry level trim available in the Explorer series and comes with a solid number of safety and convenience features offering great value for your dollar.

Lets start with a look at the back of the vehicle, and make our way upfront and inside of this beautiful SUV.

First thing you’re going to notice with the 2020 Explorer is a complete redesign of this three-row family SUV. Early Explorers were built on truck frames and were primarily driven by the rear wheels. Ford has gone back to their roots with their rear-wheel biased drive platform, improving handling and towing, but with a car-like unibody construction.

We have LED tail lights, back up camera, rear sensors and a power lift gate. This particular vehicle is equipped with class three trailer tow package giving you 5300 lbs of towing capacity and upgraded 20” premium alloy wheels.

Making our way upfront we have LED headlights with automatic highbeams and the proud Ford oval in the center of our signature grille. Under the hood the Ford Explorer unleashes the power with a turbocharged 2.3L Eco-Boost engine that produces 300 horse power!

Inside the SUV we have ActiveX interior with the available cold weather package, providing you with heated steering wheel and heated first and second row seats. If you look up top you will notice the twin panel moonroof giving you lots of natural light. The all new Sync 3 touchscreen provides you with built-in voice activated navigation as well as apple car play and android auto.

The 2020 Explorer now comes standard with Ford Co-pilot 360, giving you IDEAL SAFETY FEATURES such as auto high beams, blind spot information system with cross traffic alert, lane keeping and pre-collision assist with auto emergency braking. The all new terrain management system with intelligent 4WD can help tackle any adventure with seven selectable drive modes including Normal, Trail, Deep Snow/Sand, Slippery, Sport, Tow/Haul and new Eco mode.

Overall the 2020 Explorer is ready to take on lifes adventures with even more confidence driving technology.
